The below is my invitation letter. You know, I do not write like this. But, when I sat down to write an invitation letter, words came out like this. Consider you are invited by our Lord.

Dear my friends in Christ,

Grace and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ.

As you are aware, I have stepped down from Oakridge Church April last year in order to pursue the new calling God our Father has placed in my spirit. My heart has ever since been moved by the desire of the Spirit wanting to see our Lord Jesus exalted and his kingdom announced and restored in this city of London and greater.

Not knowing what God has installed for me, I left Oakridge Church and waited on my Lord. I gave up my meals, fasting in order to be filled with better food and wanting to be showered by his power, so that I may pursue his calling wholeheartedly and not be lost in that number on his day. Now, my heart seeks to see the Lord and his power revealed in glory. Therefore, brothers and sisters, let us gather together and ask, for he, who is faithful, promised “For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

On the Sunday of Pentecost, I will fulfill my vow of fasting and I wish you may come to the Gathering Place that evening to spend time in prayer, calling on his name and waiting on the falling of the Holy Spirit upon those who ask. If you come, I want you to come appear before the Lord with clean hands and circumcised heart. Who knows if God may lavish his love upon us and invite us into his glory?

The beloved in Christ, may you be prepared for his calling and receive our inheritance which he has prepared from the beginning. Grace of our Lord Christ Jesus be with you all.

In Christ,

Rev. John Park, Family JGLE
